 If Fungi-Nail Brand® is used to treat finger and toe fungus, why does it say "not effective on scalp or nails in the package"?
This statement refers to the application of the product, NOT its effectiveness/safety. In 1994, the FDA passed a ruling that no over the counter antifungal product is effective on the nails because products available without a prescription could not penetrate the nails, therefore making it ineffective on the nail itself. For that reason the disclaimer "This product is not effective on scalp or nails" is required by the FDA on all over-the-counter antifungal product labeling.
Since nail fungus grows on the nail bed, not the actual nail, you are to apply Fungi-Nail under the nail and around the cuticle area of the affected toe or finger. If you apply Fungi-Nail as directed, depending on the severity of your fungus, you should begin to see results within 4-8 weeks; but remember that it could take from 4 to 9 months for a new healthy nail to grow out.
- How should I apply Fungi-Nail Brand® in order to expect the best results?
Keep in mind that nail fungus grows on the nail bed and not on the actual nail; therefore to ensure the best results, one should apply the product around the cuticle area and under the tip of the nail twice daily. Remember to clean and dry the affected area before applying Fungi-Nail® and to keep nails trimmed back.
- How long will it take for results to be visible or until I have a healthy nail?
If you apply Fungi-Nail® as directed, depending on the severity of your fungus, you should begin to see results within 4-8 weeks; but remember that it can take from 4 to 9 months for a new healthy nail to grow out. Also note that although you should begin to see results within 4-8 weeks, you should not stop Fungi-Nail® treatment until a healthy nail has grown out.
- Can I wear nail polish while using Fungi-Nail Brand®?
Nail polish can be worn on the nails at the same time that Fungi-Nail is being used since the product is applied around your cuticle and underneath the tip of the nail. Yet it is recommended to let the infected nails "breathe" as much as possible; therefore, wearing nail polish should be kept at a minimal level so that the nail can "breathe" and recover faster.
- How long should I wait for the product to dry before washing my hands and/or feet?
You should wait approximately 10 minutes for the solution to dry. Once it has dried, you can then wash your hands and/or feet and continue with your daily activities.

- Can Fungi-Nail be used while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Since Fungi-Nail may be systemically absorbed, it is recommended that pregnant or nursing women do not use the product. If urgent treatment is needed for finger or toe fungus, it is recommended that you consult with your physician in order to find out the best course of treatment.
